The grip surface is thicker and noticeably separated from the striking cover by notches. The material has proven to be particularly broken- and splinter-proof, but this does not replace the constant checking of the weapon by the athlete before and after use. For a long shelf life, wooden weapons should always be stored dry and lay flat.
